Itinerary :

Day 1

Your transfers from Cape Town will take you to the beginning of the Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail at De Galg, just outside the friendly Klein Karoo town of McGregor. An awe-inspiring trail which winds through the spectacular Riviersonderend Mountain Range, meandering down to the lush green village of Greyton, lunch en route.

Our support team will port your luggage to your comfortable accommodation in Greyton - a quaint heritage town, steeped in history and shaded with a predominance of Oaks, Maples and Willows.

You will have time to freshen up and relax at your accommodation before we venture out for the evening at one of Greyton's fine restaurants.

Day 2

On our second day and after a good breakfast, we will spend the morning exploring the varied mountain bike trails of Greyton. From flowing country roads to epic single track trails - Greyton and the Riviersonderend valley has it all and for all levels of riders.

Late morning we will stop at Swallow Hills - a boutique Wine Estate producing organic cultivars, where we will meet Greyton’s gifted and creative winemaker Diana - who will serve you a relaxed tapas & wine tasting, and enthral you with her knowledge and love for rare wine cultivars.

After our morning of adventures, we will enjoy a lunch under the oaks and a tasting of Greyton’s very own craft beers at ‘TheOld Potter’s Inn.’

Later that afternoon, let us know if you would like us to book a relaxing massage in the Village or perhaps take a stroll where you might visit an art gallery, coffee roaster or the Von Geusau Chocolatier - sampling the true flavour of Greyton.

We’ll spend the evening around the fire enjoying a classic South African Braai dinner under the stars.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will join  Afromontane forester, Colette Kemp for a gentle stroll to Noupoort Forest (narrow Gorge) - Greyton’s last surviving remnant of Afromontane forest. We will pass under the guardians of the forest - two fire-scarred Harde Peers, and enter a cool paradise that  speaks of an another age of abundance and wild rivers.

Late morning, we will depart from Greyton after a morning coffee at a local café, and head back to Cape Town via Elgin - an elevated plateau of lush rolling hills, where we will visit one of the fine wine estates for a wine tasting and lunch - get a taste of the famous cuisine of the Cape Winelands.
